July 2026: The Summer Crowd
Share
The summer heat didn't let up—and neither did the feeding stations. But this month, the familiar corners weren't just busy; they were bursting. Cats have their own way of spreading the word: one finds a safe place to eat, and soon, others appear at the edges, watching from a distance.
So this July, we added more bowls. Placed a little farther apart, so the newcomers could eat without crowding the regulars. Here's what the month looked like on the ground.

Extra Bowls, Unchanged Spots
The locations stayed the same. The headcounts did not. Spots that attracted four or five cats in spring were drawing a dozen or more by mid-July.
Our partners responded the only way that makes sense: more bowls, spaced apart, so even the most nervous cat has room to eat and an escape route if needed.
No one is turned away. If a cat shows up, there's food. That's the only rule.
It's a simple thing your orders make possible—enough nourishment, every single run, no matter how many faces appear.
The Ones Watching from the Shadows
Every busy spot had them this month: new cats lingering at the edge, half-hidden in the shade, observing the others before making a move.
Day one, they don't approach the food. Day three, they're a little closer. By week's end, they're eating from their own bowl.
Trust takes time with a street cat—and for good reason. But a place that's consistently full and calm, day after day, is how you earn it.
Some of July's newcomers will be next month's regulars. That's how a colony grows.
Through the Hottest Days
July brought the peak of summer heat. Our routines adapted—water bowls on every run, earlier mornings, later evenings, and the cats waiting in the shade, listening for the familiar sound of food being set out.
On the sweltering days, they went for the water first. Long, deep drinks before they even glanced at the food beside it.
Not one stop was missed. Through the scorching weeks, the schedule held strong.
That reliability—a bowl a cat can trust, in the same place, at the same time—is exactly what your purchases keep alive.

FROM ALL OF US
Thank you for being part of this.
The cats in these photos are alive and eating because thousands of people decided a t-shirt could mean something more.
You're one of those people.
That means more than we can ever say.
